FLEET, UK. October 8th, 2026 – Hampshire-based Medical Herbalist Mila Bancah is establishing Herballea as a growing name in the South West’s herbal medicine community, with a programme of new workshops and a planned website relaunch set to shape the next stage of the business.
Mila, who is based in Fleet, Hampshire, became fully qualified and certified as a Medical Herbalist in May following five years of specialist training with Heartwood Education. Her training included 550 hours of supervised clinical practice and covered anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology and clinical medicine. She is also a registered member of the National Institute of Medical Herbalists (NIMH).
Herballea has already developed a local following through Bancah’s appearances at markets across the region, where she has introduced customers to her herbal remedies, blends and teas.
Her herbal teas are beginning to establish a reputation among those interested in traditional herbal approaches.
A central part of Mila’s work is the one-to-one relationship she develops with clients. Herballea offers an initial free 20-minute discovery call, providing an opportunity to discuss a patient’s needs and establish whether a personalised herbal medicine consultation is appropriate.
“The individual relationship is a very important part of the work,” said Mila. “Every person is different, and my aim is to combine traditional herbal knowledge with modern clinical understanding while taking the time to understand the individual.”
Mila’s interest in medicinal plants began during her childhood in Poland, where her grandmother used medicinal plants as part of everyday life. She moved to England with her husband in 2003 and has since made Hampshire her home.
The influence of her grandmother remained with her for many years before eventually contributing to Mila’s decision to retrain and pursue a career in medical herbalism.
Her five-year course provided a broad clinical education, with the qualification equivalent to a bachelor’s degree at Level 6. Mila now combines that training with traditional herbal knowledge in her work with patients.
The next phase of Herballea’s development will include a series of practical herbal workshops, with the first sessions planned to begin in late October.
The workshops will introduce participants to some of the herbal remedies Mila works with and demonstrate approaches that can potentially be replicated at home.
There are also longer-term plans to develop the workshops for online delivery, widening their potential reach beyond Hampshire.
Herballea is also preparing to relaunch its website later in the year. While the business has established a presence through local markets and face-to-face consultations, the new website is intended to provide a broader platform as Mila develops the business heading into 2027.
Alongside this, Mila has been developing Herballea’s Instagram presence, sharing herbal information, updates and insights into her work, as well as introducing new products and explaining the background to different remedies and blends.
“I want Herballea to grow steadily and responsibly,” Mila said. “The focus is on education, individual consultations and creating opportunities for people to understand more about herbal medicine.”
With its local foundations in Hampshire and a digital platform capable of reaching clients further afield, Herballea is entering the next stage of its development with new educational activity, a website relaunch and continued investment in its one-to-one herbal medicine service planned for the months ahead.
