The award-winning Manor House Hotel and Spa based in Alsager has announced ambitious new plans to expand and develop its existing spa garden facilities.
The English Country-inspired garden will see an expansion of 36 square meters, inviting guests into a new Secret Garden area. The new space will provide a vibrant, multi-experience oasis designed to give guests a mix of relaxation to restore their energy levels.
Following the popularity of the spa’s signature swim up bar, the first of its kind in the UK, the new secret garden will be adding a second swim up bar, named The Bothy Bar. The new bar will provide more space for guests to enjoy a delicious hot or cold beverage, immersed in the warmed water.
There will also be a brand-new Hydrotherapy Pool, heated to 37°C (98.6°F), where strategically placed jets will gently massage muscles and boost circulation. The integrated seats will allow guests to enjoy the hydrotherapy benefits at their own pace, in a social situation.
Adding to the group element of wellness, there will also be a new Secret Garden Cold Water Plunge Pool, designed to be just the right size for several guests to enjoy the brisk plunge together. The cascading waterfall not only looks and sounds soothing, but also amps up the cooling effect, perfect for a refreshing burst to balance out the warmth from other treatments.
One of the new thermal treatments will be the Finnish Sauna, named the Hot House. Heated to 80°C (176°F) featuring a Himalayan salt wall, this is a traditional sauna with a twist. Clad with reclaimed brick, this facility will provide a detox for guests and help with better circulation, and a deep, relaxing heat that melts stress away.
Continuing the theme of the English County Garden, there will be new relaxation spaces and lounges named Greenhouses. Thanks to the glass ceilings, guests will enjoy a light-filled, open environment perfect for unwinding.
Hotel manager Jessica Middleton said: “As our spa grows in popularity, we wanted to expand the spa to ensure guests still have the feeling of space so they can enjoy the spa to its fullest. Each corner of the Secret Garden is thoughtfully designed to give guests a unique experience.
“From socialising at the swim-up bars to unwinding in the sauna or simply soaking in the sensory delights of the garden spaces, there’s something here for everyone. We’re so excited for this new area to open, and hope guests enjoy exploring this new haven of relaxation and rejuvenation!”
