Through his new position, Danny will help increase sector-wide understanding of the legislation and support housing providers in developing effective compliance strategies. His focus will include training, engagement and the promotion of best practice in tackling damp, mould and broader property safety challenges.

He has directed large repairs and maintenance operations, delivered transformation programmes and helped housing organisations strengthen compliance and service performance.
Recognised throughout the housing sector for his expertise, Danny regularly speaks at conferences and industry events on topics including Awaab’s Law, damp and mould management and HHSRS compliance. His work with six major housing providers has helped establish robust strategies that improve both regulatory performance and resident experience.
In addition, he provides specialist training designed to support sustainable organisational change and improved operational standards.
Simon Redfearn, Owner of Redfearn Experts and Awaab Comply, said: “Danny’s reputation within the housing sector speaks for itself. His experience and commitment to improving resident safety align perfectly with our objectives.

Danny Bird said: “Awaab’s Law creates an opportunity for the housing sector to strengthen accountability and improve living conditions for residents. Many providers have already begun that journey, but ongoing education and practical support remain essential.
“I look forward to working alongside the Awaab Comply team to help organisations develop effective solutions and share knowledge that benefits both providers and residents.”
The move demonstrates Awaab Comply’s ongoing investment in expert guidance, education and compliance support as the sector prepares for the next stage of housing reform.
