One of the UK’s leading aesthetic doctors is changing the face of cosmetic medicine as his clinic moves towards medically led treatments and care.
Dr Ed Robinson has renamed Dr Ed Robinson Aesthetics to Dr Ed Robinson Clinics after the practice evolved from Botox and fillers.
Patients now visit the Hale clinic for skin concerns, hair loss, regenerative treatments and men’s health , alongside aesthetic procedures.
Dr Ed said: “When I first started the clinic, the name reflected what we were doing at the time.
“But things have changed a lot since then. We now see patients for their skin, hair loss, regenerative treatments and men’s, and some patients never have an injectable at all.
“Calling ourselves Dr Ed Robinson Aesthetics doesn’t feel like an accurate reflection of the clinic.”
Dr Ed founded the practice in 2022, drawing on his background in NHS anaesthesia and his medical training to create a more clinically focused approach to aesthetics.
Since then, the clinic has grown both in the treatments and the type of patients it sees.
Dr Ed said: “Aesthetics is still an important part of what we do, but we’re becoming more of a medical clinic.
“For me, it’s looking at the patient properly, understanding what they actually need and then recommending treatment only where it’s appropriate.
“That can mean an aesthetic treatment, but it can also mean helping someone with their skin, hair loss or another health concern.”
The name change follows the clinic’s first inspection by the Care Quality Commission, which rated the service Good overall and across all five areas assessed.
Inspectors particularly recognised its leadership, governance and culture of continuous improvement.
Dr Ed said: “Receiving a Good CQC rating across every area was a huge milestone for us.
“It showed that the way we run the clinic, assess patients and approach treatment is being recognised at a medical level, and I think the new name reflects that direction much better.”
The name change also comes as the Government announces plans to tighten regulation across the aesthetics industry, with new restrictions proposed for higher-risk cosmetic procedures and further licensing planned for treatments including Botox and fillers.
Dr Ed said: “I think it’s really positive to see the industry moving towards tighter regulation.
“These are medical treatments and they should be treated seriously. For us, that’s always been the approach, so changing the name to Dr Ed Robinson Clinics feels quite fitting.”
The clinic was recently names Medical Aesthetics Clinic of the Year, Cheshire, at the Manchester & North West England Prestige Awards 2026/27.
Dr Ed also received an Outstanding Achievement accolade as Aesthetic Professional of the Year at the 14th English Hair & Beauty Awards 2026 North.
The clinic is also a finalist in two categories at the This is Manchester Awards 2026.
Dr Ed said: “The name is changing, but the principles behind the clinic are exactly the same.
“We’ll continue to put patients first, recommend treatment only when it’s right for them and focus on natural results, safety and good medical care.
“This is a name that better reflects what the clinic has become.”
