Nantwich firm eyes further growth after scooping globally recognised “stamp of approval”

A Cheshire healthcare company is pushing forward with ambitious growth plans after scooping ISO accreditation, which ensures organisations meet the highest statutory and regulatory standards.

Everything Genetic’s ISO 9001:2015 accolade from the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), is a globally recognised standard which underpins the Nantwich business’ approach to quality management standards, procedures and commitment to customers.

Specialising in genetic testing and healthcare diagnostics, Everything Genetic’s certificate follows recent revenue growth for the firm, after it reported £35m turnover over the last financial year.

Carol Mackay, Everything Genetic’s Clinical Director, oversaw the process towards the accreditation and spearheads the business’ governance, compliance, quality management and improvements.

Carol said: “We’ve been working towards this point for almost a year now, so we’re delighted with the accreditation, which will demonstrate our prowess as a quality healthcare business in the north west.

“The standard gives our customers and supply chain confidence we closely adhere to best-in-class procedures, deliver quality products and meet and exceed our customers’ expectations. It also demonstrates we adopt a philosophy of continual quality improvement and rigorous complaints processes.”

The business will be audited every year for the accreditation and has developed a guidance manual for staff to utilise and implemented a process for organisational changes, if any future working practices need to be adapted.

According to Everything Genetic’s Chief Executive Officer, James Price, the ISO will enable the business to access more opportunities and will serve as a stamp of approval when tendering.

He said: “We’re delighted to have received the accreditation because it’s a unique differentiator for a business like ours in the healthcare space. It has given us a foot in the door to access even more growth opportunities in the coming years.

“We’ve experienced a steady upward trajectory of growth in recent years – testament to our ability to adapt to the rapidly fluctuating global market conditions – but we’re excited to see how we can build the business further in the years to come. The ISO is essential for us to

access larger business opportunities, which will help take the business’ growth to the next level.”

Auditors assessed the business’ sales records and processes, marketing, relationships with third party suppliers/customers, processes and operations. It also assessed recruitment and onboarding, environmental sustainability, stock management, safety records and non-conformance processes.
