Jurgen Klopp hoping to go far in Europa League as his side face Toulouse

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp hopes his Liverpool side “go long, long, long in this competition” ahead of Thursday night’s Europa League tie against Toulouse.

Klopp is considering making changes to his side ahead of the match after revealing that only Cody Gakpo is back available for selection, with Thiago, Stefan Bajcetic, and Andy Robertson all out through injury.

He said: “We will make some changes – not too many, we will see. The boys have shown already they are ready for the competition.

“We hope to go long, long, long in this competition.”

The Liverpool boss also provided an update on Robertson after the Scotland full-back had surgery on his shoulder.

“Robbo had surgery, and all went well, as good as it could be,” he added.

“Rehab starts as soon as he wakes up; I think it happened this morning.”
