Award Winning FTW Training Opens New Birmingham Centre

Open day on 24 July 2026 marks Managing Director Stephen Dovey’s return to the city where he built his career
BIRMINGHAM, UK. July 14th, 2026 – FTW Training, the award winning forklift training provider, has opened a new training centre in Birmingham, marking its first permanent site in the Midlands. The company is inviting businesses and individuals to an open day on Thursday 24 July 2026 at the new centre loctaed on 77–87 Newtown Row, Birmingham, B6 4HG.

FTW Training delivers RTITB and AITT accredited forklift training courses to companies across a wide range of industries, alongside funded programmes that support unemployed people into work. The company was named RTITB Training Provider of the Year in 2024, and in 2025 FTW instructor Alistair King was named RTITB Commercial Instructor of the Year.

The new Birmingham centre adds to FTW Training’s existing sites, and extends its nationwide on-site training service into the Midlands, giving local employers direct access to accredited forklift training courses.

Stephen Dovey, Managing Director of FTW Training said: “I’m delighted to be bringing FTW Training to Birmingham. I worked in this city for 5 years up until 2016, and it’s fantastic to be returning with a permanent training centre that can support local businesses and help more people into work. I’d encourage anyone interested in forklift training, or a career as an instructor, to come along to our open day and see the centre for themselves.”
The open day on 24 July 2026 will give visitors the chance to tour the new centre, meet the FTW Training team, and find out more about the company’s RTITB and AITT accredited courses for businesses and individuals, as well as its programmes supporting unemployed people into work.
