SYKES ANNOUNCES HIRING SPREE WITH MORE THAN 100 NEW ROLES

Sykes Holiday Cottages is looking to hire more than 100 colleagues between now and Christmas.

The Chester-based holiday home rental agency, which currently has more than 800 employees, is looking for people of all levels of experience to fill a variety of roles at its HQ in One City Place, near to Chester train station.

This includes new roles within its tech, marketing, finance and customer relations teams, with salaries of up to £55,000 a year.

The recruitment push forms part of Sykes’ rapid expansion in recent years, with the business now serving more than 2 million holidaymakers a year at its growing portfolio of 20,000 properties across the UK, Ireland and New Zealand.

Graham Donoghue, CEO at Sykes Holiday Cottages, said: “As we continue to grow as a business, bringing on new property owners and hosting more holidaymakers than ever before, we’re looking for new recruits to join our incredible team.

“With a range of schemes on offer to support a healthy work-life balance, including team-building activities, wellbeing workshops and an in-house counsellor, we are focused on making sure Sykes remains an amazing place to work.”

The business, which celebrated its 30th anniversary this year, has been named one of the Sunday Times’ 75 best companies to work for in the North West.

The fast-growing tech business also ranked in the Sunday Times Virgin Atlantic Fast Track 100 list last year, which celebrates and showcases the success of Britain’s fastest-growing private companies.

Donoghue added: “What our amazing team at Sykes have achieved together over the last year, despite the challenges faced, has been nothing short of incredible and I’m so proud of all of them. But the future is even more exciting and we look forward to welcoming new colleagues to join us for the ride.”
