On Line Group Rebrands for Alignment & Growth

Integrated engineering solutions company, On Line Group, has proudly revealed a brand refresh more representative of the future, following significant growth within the business.

From today (22nd October) On Line Group will rebrand to OLG – a new name that keeps its old roots as a trusted brand within the sector.

On Line Design & Engineering was established in 1982 and since then the company and group has grown to incorporate businesses in recruitment, creative and graphic design, fabrication, maintenance, and fitting. Their latest acquisition was in January 2020, bringing BPE Design and Support into the brand, allowing On Line Group to offer clients an all-in-one engineering solution for the first time.

As a result of acquiring so many brands, On Line Group decided a refresh was necessary to ensure all companies were recognisable within the group, as well as their individual business streams.

Plus, they wanted to give the company a new look to reflect modern times and address the change of meaning towards its name. The end result is a catchier “OLG” brand – shortening “On Line Group”.

OLG Chairman Jeff Laird said: “When the company began in 1982, On Line reflected its design business but we now use the term ‘online’ to mean something associated with the internet or digital services, so we knew we had to adapt. We wanted a new look for the company that would be fit for the future following a period of strong growth, particularly as many of our brands operate using cutting edge technology – something which has become even more important in a post-pandemic, remote working world.

“However, as a much-loved and well-known brand across the industry, we didn’t want to stray too far away from the name and its familiarity, legacy and reputation – that’s why we chose the new name OLG.”

Subsidiary brands will now operate as OLG Consulting, OLG Engineering, OLG Recruitment, OLG Media and OLG Support.

Daresbury-based OLG Consulting welcomes the rebrand. Director Andy Stevenson said: “Since the acquisition last year, we have embraced all changes that have come our way and we’ve been pleased to see the company go from strength to strength.

“At OLG Consulting we see the new-look OLG as a chance to really get behind a brand that is now futureproof. Not only does it inject enthusiasm and boost morale for our teams, a rebrand shows a united front and demonstrates even more value to clients by offering them all the services they need in one place.”
