Chester’s experts on hand to navigate a path through A-level results and Clearing.

With A-level and BTEC results fast approaching, Admissions experts from the University of Chester are reminding applicants that they are available to help students find their place.

National UCAS research indicates that school and college leavers are currently feeling confident about achieving good grades, with many researching Clearing as an opportunity to change their subject or trade up their University.

The University of Chester has continued its rise in the Complete University Guide ranking for the third year, now placing it in the top four for the North West and in the top half nationally.

Students who have performed better than anticipated or who have changed their mind can call the Admissions team to see if they can make the change to Chester. And those who haven’t performed as well as they hoped should not despair – the University’s friendly advisers will be available to talk through the options and places available.

Applicants can register here early to receive the latest information, advice and guidance on applying or they can phone from results day onwards on 01244 567 470.

Clearing is also an option for those who applied after the June 30 deadline or haven’t applied at all and wish to go to university for the 2022-2023 academic year.

The process can happen very quickly with popular courses filling up fast. It is a good idea for applicants to do some research before A-level results day (Thursday, August 18 2022) to identify universities and courses of interest. All vacancies are shown live on the UCAS website or search on the University’s on Clearing pages here.

This year is also the first time in three years that students will sit examinations following the COVID-19 pandemic.

Ric Bengree, Director of Marketing, Recruitment and Admissions, said: “Clearing is simply another option for accessing a university place and is an exciting opportunity for applicants to take the next steps towards their future.

“Whatever your results are – if you’ve changed your mind and have decided to attend university this year after all or if you’re looking to change your programme of study or University you wish to attend, the University of Chester could be the place for you. We would love to hear from you and let you know what we can offer.”
