Runcorn-based logistics recruitment company Drivers Direct has proudly been awarded a ‘Best Workplace’ award in this year’s WorkL Employee’s Voice Best Workplace Awards.
The awards recognise companies that continuously display high levels of engagement and operative experience. Members of an organisation can independently enter their workplace into the awards, where their company is then evaluated for eligibility based on the level of overall employee engagement.
Employees at Drivers Direct undertook the “happy at work test” earlier this year to enrol the company in the 2022 awards. After being evaluated, the logistics firm achieved a 60% grade for employee engagement, giving the business a Bronze award overall.
Danny Jellicoe, Managing Director at Drivers Direct, commented: “it’s absolutely fantastic that Drivers Direct have achieved the award for Best Work Place by WorkL. I would like to thank all of our employees who helped us get here.”

Formed in April 2002, the driver recruitment business specialises in the training and placement of drivers across all vehicle classes on both a temporary and permanent basis. Driver’s Direct supplies more than 1,100 drivers a week to clients from across the public and private sectors and provides management and support staff.
