Empowered by Motherhood: Mum Turns Passion into Reality with Cheshire’s ‘Instagrammable’ Nursery Boutique

Inspired by the arrival of her one-year-old daughter, a determined mother made the brave decision to leave her stable corporate job behind and open an Instagrammable nursery boutique in the heart of Cheshire. Victoria Percy, along with her fiance and business partner Matt, launched Bump Nursery Boutique on April 26th this year. Located on London Road in Davenham Village, Northwich, this luxury business venture aims to provide parents-to-be with an unforgettable shopping experience.

Victoria’s journey began when she returned to her hometown of Rochdale during her pregnancy to purchase essential baby items. It was then that the idea to open a baby shop in the Northwich area was born. However, due to exclusivity agreements with suppliers, the plan had to be put on hold. When the previous owner of Bump decided to sell the business earlier this year, Victoria and Matt seized the opportunity and took over. With their fresh perspective, they are steering Bump in a new direction, aiming to be a one-stop-shop for all newborn essentials, including gifting and clothing.

At Bump Nursery Boutique, Victoria offers a flexible appointment service, allowing customers to bring their loved ones along for an exciting shopping experience. With an 18-month-old daughter named Nancy and an eight-year-old stepson named Henry, Victoria understands the importance of exceptional customer service and honest advice. She is committed to making the process of purchasing prams and nursery essentials a day to remember.

Having previously worked in HR at an accountancy firm, the birth of her daughter transformed Victoria’s mindset and motivated her to pursue entrepreneurship. Although new to running a business, Victoria wants her daughter to witness her determination and learn that women can achieve great things. This message is close to her heart, and she hopes it will inspire her daughter as she grows up.

Every item in Bump Nursery Boutique has been carefully selected by Victoria, who keeps a keen eye on current trends and conducts thorough research. The shop stocks products from well-loved brands such as Cybex, iCandy, egg, Oyster, BabyJogger, Doona, Snuz, The Little Green Sheep Co, CuddleCo, and Purflo. Additionally, three independent clothing and gifting brands – Another Fox, Neutrum Bear, and Rose & Guy – are also available.

Apart from offering a range of products, Victoria is planning events for parents and parents-to-be in the area. These events include baby first aid courses, baby yoga classes, and a Parents To Be event, where local businesses will showcase their products and services.

To further connect with the community, Victoria has been collaborating with ‘The Mum Club Hale’ and will have a stand at their upcoming event at Trafford Palazzo in the Trafford Centre, Manchester. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore the products available at Bump Nursery Boutique and enjoy exclusive event promotions.

With only ten weeks in business, Bump Nursery Boutique has already made significant progress, and Victoria believes this is just the beginning. The boutique is open from Wednesday to Sunday, offering a supportive experience and a platform for local businesses to thrive. To stay updated, follow Bump Nursery Boutique on Instagram or Facebook.

In a world where passion and motherhood intersect, Victoria’s determination has paved the way for Bump Nursery Boutique to flourish, providing a haven for expectant parents and an Instagrammable destination that captures the magic of parenthood.
