National recognition for ‘incredible’ team at Chester law firm

Three solicitors at a Chester law firm have been ranked among the very best in the region after a new list of national rankings for 2023 was published.

The Wills, Trusts and Tax team at Aaron & Partners was highlighted as one of the most respected in Cheshire by Chambers and Partners in its High Net Worth Legal Guide, which scores law firms and their teams on a variety of service factors every year.

Within the ‘High Net Worth Chester and surrounds: Private Wealth Law’ category, Aaron & Partners was the only firm to be ranked in the High Net Worth listings, let alone secure Band 1 status – the highest accolade possible.

Clive Pointon, Head of the Wills, Trusts and Tax team was also the only solicitor to achieve a Band 1 ranking in the categoryand continues his streak of consecutive years of securing the much-coveted status.

The law firm also Retained Band 1 status in the Private Wealth Disputes (North West) category.

James Wallace, a Partner at the firm who leads the Contentious Trusts and Probate team, was again recognised with Band 1 status in this category and is one of only three solicitors in the North West to earn the Band 1 Ranking. Vlad Macdonald-Munteanu, a senior associate in the Contested Wills, Trusts and Estates team, was also highlighted as an ‘Associate to watch.

Collectively, the team received high praise from the Chambers and Partners High Net Worth rankings, which were published online. The team was described as having “incredible depth of knowledge, with exceptional analysis, evidence gathering and strategic approach,” on top of being “very professional and efficient”.

Clive Pointon said: “We’ve been regularly recognised in this prestigious publication in recent years, but we’re delighted to have secured such a strong accolade again this year.

“Delivering the right outcomes for our clients is at the heart of our work as we support wealthy individuals and families on tax and succession planning, estate administration and private wealth disputes.

“Rankings like this are important to us as they further validate the good work our team are doing each and every day. I’m very proud of our achievement.”
