Formula One legend Michael Schumacher’s son, Mick, will test with F1 team Alpine alongside their reserve driver, Jack Doohan, next week.
Alpine are yet to decide their team for the 2025 season, with Esteban Ocon leaving and Pierre Gasly likely to keep his seat.
Schumacher, whose father was world champion seven times, raced for Haas in 2021 and 2022 and is a reserve driver for Mercedes.

Doohan also has driving royalty in his blood as the son of five-time 500cc world champion motorbiker Mick Doohan.
Schumacher was Formula Two world champion for Prema Racing in 2020 but finished 19th and 16th in his F1 seasons.
Carlos Sainz is Alpine’s number one target, according to ESPN, which has said the Ferrari driver is more likely to join Williams for 2025.

Schumacher: Mercedes F1 ‘fascinating’
Switzerland-born Schumacher, 25, told Mercedes it had been “fantastic” supporting Lewis Hamilton, who holds the record for the number of titles alongside Michael Schumacher, and Mercedes team-mate George Russell.
“It’s been fascinating working with Lewis and George,” he said. “It’s an interesting period for me… I’ve learned a lot about what’s important in terms of approaching race weekends.
“I feel like I’ve already gained so much knowledge to add to my skillset. I didn’t think I would have learned and gained so much so early into my role.
“As a driver, you usually do not get to hear what is going on between all the engineers while you are out on the track, so listening in during the sessions has been extremely interesting.
“You don’t know what you’re missing until you are actually part of it. What I really appreciate in working with those engineers is that they are genuinely listening to you and your opinion matters.
“What is special from an emotional side is that many people who are working for the team were here when my dad was driving.”
