ZTL Contracting Opens New Alfreton Office as Midlands Expansion Gathers Pace

ZTL Contracting, one of the UK’s leading earthworks and ground improvement contractors, has officially opened a new office in South Normanton, Alfreton, as part of its aggressive growth strategy. This expansion places ZTL in an ideal position to support its growing project portfolio in the Midlands, reinforcing its status as a prominent player in the construction industry. The decision to set up an office in Alfreton aligns with ZTL’s long-term goal of extending its presence and capitalising on the Midlands’ rapidly expanding construction market. This follows ZTL’s recent accolade—the VelociTees 2024 small business ‘Job Creation’ award—which reflects its contribution to economic growth in Teesside.

ZTL Contracting has developed a strong reputation for excellence in the delivery of earthworks and ground remediation projects. Its ability to deliver high-quality projects across the UK has cemented its position as a trusted partner in the industry. In 2023, the company reached an impressive £28 million turnover, showcasing its financial strength and adaptability in a fast-evolving market.

The new office in Alfreton represents ZTL’s commitment to expanding its operational capabilities. Centrally located in the Midlands, this move will enhance the company’s ability to meet the needs of new and existing clients throughout the region. This expansion is a key element of ZTL’s strategy to seize opportunities in the logistics and infrastructure sectors. In addition to reinforcing its presence in the region, ZTL’s growth brings 35 new jobs to the area, further demonstrating the company’s role as a vital contributor to the local economy and the construction industry.

Wayne Morris, Managing Director of ZTL Contracting, shared his optimism about this next phase of growth, saying, “The Midlands region represents a vibrant landscape of new opportunities and growth for our industry. By establishing our new office in Alfreton, we’re not just expanding our geographical footprint; we’re aligning with the heart of where development is most dynamic. This is an exciting time for ZTL as we delve into projects that not only challenge us but also enable us to contribute significantly to the region’s economic and infrastructural development. We’re here to build a better tomorrow, and the Midlands is a key part of that vision.”

ZTL Contracting remains committed to expanding its project portfolio in the coming years. With a firm focus on sustainability, quality, and innovation, the company is well-placed to continue shaping the construction sector’s future while contributing to the growth of the regions it operates within.
