Craner & Kirkman Moves to Larger HQ as Founder Tom Singleton Drives Half-Million Growth Milestone

Craner & Kirkman, a standout name in UK e-commerce prep and logistics, has moved into a larger headquarters in Ilkeston’s Soloman Park. The move marks a significant moment for the business, which has surpassed £500,000 in turnover in under three years thanks to the leadership of founder Tom Singleton.

Singleton, who previously held a senior position at marketing agency ITG in Birmingham, launched the company after a decade in the corporate world. What began as a side hustle has rapidly grown into a vital support hub for online sellers across platforms like Amazon, TikTok Shop, Etsy, eBay, and Shopify.

Expanding Operations for a Scaling Client Base

The new space more than doubles Craner & Kirkman’s capacity, enabling faster turnaround times and enhanced logistics for a growing number of sellers in the UK and across Europe. The firm continues to prioritise rapid fulfilment, personal service, and efficient, tech-backed workflows.

“We’ve built this business from the ground up — no outside funding, just good service and word of mouth,” said Singleton. “Moving into our new HQ gives us room to grow, but it also lets us keep raising the bar for e-commerce logistics.”

In-House Delivery Fleet Gives Competitive Edge

Unlike many competitors, Craner & Kirkman operates its own transport network through CK Logistics. This strategic advantage allows for full control over delivery schedules, particularly for critical shipments to Amazon Fulfilment Centres.

“Most prep centres rely on third-party hauliers — we don’t,” Singleton added. “Our vans. Our drivers. Our timing. It means fewer delays, more control, and a better experience for our clients.”
