Gremi d’Hotels Confirms Barcelona As A Safe And Prepared Business Destination

The Gremi d’Hotels confirms Barcelona as a “safe and prepared business destination”. The director general of the organization points out that the MWC has demonstrated to the world that its capacity and attractiveness “as a venue for major events is intact despite the halt caused by the health crisis”.

The Gremi d’Hotels of Barcelona has described this Thursday as “organizational success without nuances” this year’s edition of the Mobile World Congress (MWC), which has confirmed the Catalan capital as “a safe and prepared business destination” at the level international, according to Efe.

In a statement, the general director of this organization, Manel Casals , highlighted the effort that has been made from different areas to celebrate the event and has vindicated the good work of Barcelona as a city of congresses.

In his opinion, during these last four days, Mobile has shown the world that “the capacity and attractiveness of Barcelona as the venue for major events is intact despite the stoppage caused by the health crisis .”

“Without any doubt, it has been demonstrated and confirmed internationally that Barcelona is a safe and prepared business destination. Business tourism is essential and strategic for Barcelona”, stressed Casals.

More events in the city
The success of Mobile should encourage, in his opinion, the economic sectors of Barcelona to work to “promote” the celebration of more events in the city “in the coming weeks and months”, despite the still pandemic environment.

The Gremi d’Hotels de Barcelona has directly thanked the GSMA , the event organizer, for “their unconditional trust in the city” and “their ability to host and organize, in a totally safe way, this international event”.

It has also valued “the rigor, responsibility and good joint work that the entities involved, public and private, have done.”
