McAlister Family Law strengthens national presence with new Partner

Beyond Law Group’s leading North-West family practice, McAlister Family Law, has appointed Lisa Brown as partner in its divorce and finance team following its most successful year to date. McAlister Family Law has climbed the rankings in both Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners year on year and, most recently, was recognised by The Times as one of the top 200 best law firms across England and Wales.

Lisa joins McAlister Family Law from Maguire Family Law, where she was also a partner. She has specialised in family law for over 15 years, acting for clients on a wide variety of issues including divorce, private children matters and financial matters including complex and high net worth cases.

Lisa’s primary focus at McAlister Family Law will see her acting on behalf of clients seeking advice and guidance in relation to divorce and finance, predominantly the more complex, high net worth cases.

McAlister Family Law is a specialist practice within Beyond Law Group, the disruptive legal business whose strategy is to create, build and manage specialist legal practices under one modern business structure. The Group’s clients and employees enjoy the sense of personal service sociability, identity and teamwork associated with specialist practices, and at the same time confident that they are working with a large modern legal business.

Beyond Law Group currently has a portfolio of three practices: McAlister Family Law, Beyond Corporate and Beyond Conveyancing. Lisa’s appointment will make her the eighth partner to be appointed by Beyond in the past year as it continues its ambitious growth plans.

Lisa comments on her appointment: “I am so excited to be joining such a highly regarded and well-established firm with traditional core values but with a modern and dynamic business structure.

I hope to help the Group continue its success and further support McAlister Family Law in its tremendous growth across the North-West and beyond.”

Amanda McAlister, managing partner of McAlister Family Law, comments: “McAlister Family Law is continuously building on its reputable as the go-to family law specialists in the UK. Lisa’s appointment will help us to build on this momentum as we seek to expand our family practice and continue our programme of strategic growth across the entire Group.

Lisa’s well-established relationships within family law, coupled with her years of enviable experience in the field will enhance our offering nation-wide. I’m delighted she’s joining the team at such an exciting time for the practice and the wider Group.”

Matt Fleetwood, CEO and founder of Beyond Law Group, comments: “We are thrilled to have Lisa join the Beyond family. Importantly for us, Lisa’s appointment further enhances the personality of the Group and emphasises our commitment to continue to recruit strong lawyers wanting to work in a strong team environment.

As a Group we have started the new year continuing to learn more from our people, with the goal of offering something that is genuinely progressive for our employees and teams.”
