CHESHIRE LAW FIRM CONTINUES STRATEGIC GROWTH WITH 13 PROMOTIONS

In a key move which reflects its programme of strategic growth, specialist law firm Price Slater Gawne has made 13 promotions, including three to partner level. The Altrincham-based firm was founded in 2010 and offers specialist legal expertise in the fields of Clinical Negligence, Serious Injury, Court of Protection, Family Law and Wealth Protection.

Promoted to Partner are Tom Young, Head of Court of Protection, Laura Bywater, Head of Wealth Protection, and Andrew Harrison, a key member of the firm’s nationally renowned Clinical Negligence team.

Promoted to Senior Associate are Jonathan Grundy, member of the Serious Injury team, Matt Tomaszewski, the firm’s HR Manager, and Laura Zander, Niall Costello and Sophie Fox, all of whom are Clinical Negligence legal specialists.

Promoted to Associate are Gail Galloway of the Wealth Protection team, three members of the Clinical Negligence team, Clare Tinker, Mairin Costello and Sarah Ratcliffe, and Jack Fitzsimons of the Accounts team, who joined the firm some years ago as an apprentice.

Led by directors Victoria Price, Mark Slater and Christopher Gawne, the firm has grown significantly over the last three years, with an increase in revenue of 89% and number of team members increasing by 65%.

“Our success is testament to the firm’s ability to thrive in a highly competitive market,” said founder Victoria Price. “Mark Slater and I founded the firm based on our specialisms of Clinical Negligence and Serious Injury; in 2012 we were joined by Chris Gawne and that same year we were named by the prestigious legal directory Chambers and Partners as a leading firm for Clinical Negligence claims. Today we have one of the largest and most successful teams of claimant Clinical Negligence solicitors in the North West.”

Mark Slater added: “Over the course of the firm’s history we have expanded significantly, both in areas of practice and size. Our fast-growing Court of Protection team is ranked in Legal 500 and is respected on a national basis for its expertise in this highly complex area of the law. Our Wealth Protection team has quickly become established as leaders in this field, and we now offer expertise in Family Law, a highly competitive market in which we aim to grow substantially. We have also greatly expanded our in-house Costs department and our Accounts, Marketing, HR support and Admin teams, growth which is reflected in this year’s staff promotions.”

Chris Gawne said: “Ours is a firm based on consistently delivering excellent client service and to do that you need to right people in place. We are absolutely delighted to reward our talented and dedicated colleagues and celebrate their commitment and success. We are extremely proud to see each of them progress their careers with Price Slater Gawne.”
