The Bull & Bear launches Beer Tasting Event to celebrate World Beer Day

The Bull & Bear is set to launch ‘Beer Tasting at The Bull & Bear’ next month. The event which will kick off the restaurant and bars themed event schedule will take place in The Bank, the venue’s private dining room space.

The 5-course tasting menu has been curated by Head Chef of The Bull & Bear Connor Black. Dishes will include Taramasalata with Parmesan and Pickled Chilli followed by a Nettlebed Creamery Cheese Souffle with Candied Hazelnuts and Fig Salad. Guests will then be treated to Dressed Cornish Crab with Isle of Wight Tomatoes, Horseradish Emulsion and Tomato Consomme. The main course will be a Beef and Blue Cheese Pie with Ale Gravy which will be followed by a stunning Caramelised Banana and Chocolate Choux Bun. 

The menu has been paired with a selection of five beers from local breweries Deya, Salt, Cloudwater and Vocation giving guests the opportunity to try some of the North West’s best beers paired with dishes that elevate one another. 

To finish the evening guests will be invited to enjoy a dram of Macallan Whisky with a talk from a specialist Macallan Brand Ambassador who will discuss the spirits complex history as well as providing a selection of tasting notes.

The dinner will take place in The Bank which provides the perfect setting for an intimate experience with your own private chef on hand for the evening to talk you through the dishes.
