WEAVER VALE HOUSING TRUST CELEBRATES SECURING TOP SPOT IN BEST COMPANIES SURVEY

A Cheshire housing association is celebrating coming in first place in the national Best Companies Housing Association listing and achieving a 3-star rating, thanks to its world-class employee engagement.

Weaver Vale Housing Trust, which has almost 300 employees and manages over 6,300 homes across Cheshire and Warrington, has been awarded a 3-Star rating for the third year in a row and achieved its highest score to date.

The Best Companies rankings are a measure of colleague engagement in UK companies, used as a way to promote happy and productive workplaces and the 3-Star rating means the landlord’s employee engagement is among the best in the world.

The Northwich-based organisation featured in three category listings: Housing Association, North West Company, and Large Company, coming 1st, 7th and 9th respectively.

The 3-star rating is reserved for companies excelling in eight aspects of company engagement factors, including giving something back, wellbeing, leadership, personal growth, management, teams, the company itself, and how staff are treated.

It is the Trust’s fourteenth consecutive year taking part in the Best Companies survey, which recognises the best employers to work for in its league tables.

More than 86% of Weaver Vale employees took part in the survey this year.

Wayne Gales, Chief Executive of Weaver Vale Housing Trust, said: “Placing Number 1 in the Best Companies Housing Association ranking is a testament to our culture of trust, openness, and inclusivity at Weaver Vale and our commitment to putting people at the heart of all we do.

“It is fantastic to know our staff recognise how much they are valued by the Trust, and that they are just as engaged in our mission to build back fairer and create communities in Cheshire and Warrington that people are proud to live in.

“I’d like to congratulate each and every colleague on this great achievement, it is their award.”
