Sustainable travel event supports businesses transition to net zero

A comprehensive showcase for sustainable travel initiatives is being held for businesses in the borough.

Cheshire West and Chester Council is hosting the free Driving Change event at Ellesmere Port Civic Hall on Monday, December 4, from 9 am to 1 pm.

Deputy council leader Karen Shore, emphasised the council’s dedication to assisting the local business community in transitioning to net zero.

Array of sustainable solutions

Councillor Shore explained that the sustainable travel showcase will not only feature test drives of electric vehicles from various suppliers but also encompass a diverse array of sustainable travel solutions for businesses.

During the event, representatives from local dealerships will be available to discuss options and exhibit a selection of electric and hybrid vehicles, including cars, vans, scooters, bikes, and mobility solutions.

Additionally, local operators for public transport, active travel, and micromobility modes will be in attendance.

Exhibitors

Various exhibitors, encompassing charging operators or installers, renewables suppliers, and local trade organisations, will be present to demonstrate the latest technologies and business support accessible in the area.

Confirmed speakers for the event include Cheshire West and Chester Council, the Energy Saving Trust, and Scottish Power Energy Networks. A comprehensive list of exhibitors will be disclosed closer to the event date.

For those interested in attending, tickets for the Driving Change event can be acquired through TicketSource.
