Jaz Ampaw-Farr Motivates Care-Experienced Youths at London’s BT Headquarters Celebration

A recent celebration at BT’s London Headquarters highlighted the accomplishments of care-experienced young individuals, with 140 exceptional youths being honoured. The event featured a powerful keynote by Jaz Ampaw-Farr, whose background in foster care and subsequent success story provided a source of inspiration for those present. Her diverse roles as a motivational speaker, educator, TV personality, and entrepreneur enriched her address, encouraging attendees to look beyond their circumstances.

Ampaw-Farr reflected on the significance of the event, stating, “There are lots of reasons children end up in care, and absolutely none of them include the child being broken! The skills I learned navigating foster homes, education, and homelessness as a child and teenager are the same skills I applied in my journey to becoming a successful entrepreneur. I’m honoured to be part of these awards and shine a light on the fantastic work of The Virtual School.”

Her journey underscores the importance of resilience, education, and self-belief. Ampaw-Farr’s influence extends through her public speaking, her work with Be Human First Ltd, and her forthcoming book and documentary, all aimed at inspiring and empowering a broader audience.
