The Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) recognised the brightest and best entrepreneurs
from the North West at the FSB Celebrating Small Business Awards 2024.
Now winners from the North West will compete for top honours during the UK grand final at Blackpool’s Winter Gardens next Thursday.
From sustainability to innovation, family businesses to start-ups, winners across 12 categories were recognised for their outstanding business achievements, coming together to receive their awards and inspire one another.
Now in its 50th year, FSB stands proud as the UK’s largest membership organisation for
small businesses and the self-employed, and these awards help highlight the invaluable
contributions made by these businesses to the UK economy and champions their journey as
entrepreneurs.
The Micro Business Award was won by Envision Communications Group Ltd., and
managing director Simon Bade, said: “Winning this award means so much to us.
“Recognition in a marketplace where we compete against more established and larger
businesses gives us the platform to shout about how much of a great company we are.
“The challenge of running a micro business is often wearing many hats. Winning this award
confirms that we’re doing an excellent job. I’m so proud of each and every one of us and
what we’re achieving collectively.
“It’s been brilliant to meet other award winners, learn about their businesses and do some
networking too. Hopefully, we can take home the UK award in May!”
Emma Smailes, FSB’s regional manager for the North of England, said: “It was absolutely
brilliant to get all our winners together in one place and celebrate success from across the
North West. As we heard stories from throughout the region, our attendees were well and
truly inspired by each other. Small businesses across the North West play a critical role in
supporting both local economies and local communities.
“Our region is a diverse place, and this was well represented both in the award nominations and in the winners themselves. We will most certainly be pulling together when the final awards comes around.
“Our finalists will be rooting for each other to bring the UK awards home to the North West.”
