Crewe Hall Hotel & Spa crowned ‘Wedding Venue of the Year’

Crewe Hall Hotel & Spa has been named Wedding Venue of the Year at the Marketing Cheshire Tourism Awards.

The awards celebrate the excellence and outstanding achievements of local businesses and individuals, with Cheshire’s tourism sector contributing an impressive £3.9 billion to the region’s economy.

The award win for Crewe Hall Hotel & Spa follows a significant investment of over £1.5 million in refurbishments, enhancing several key facilities with a focus on weddings.

Situated in Cheshire, the hotel is renowned for its historic grandeur, seamlessly blending 17th-century opulence with modern luxury. Its striking exterior, intricate stained-glass windows, and historic feature rooms make it a popular and impressive wedding venue.

The original Grade I listed mansion is complemented by a modern wing housing a restaurant, bar, event spaces, and a health club with a spa.

Crewe Hall Hotel & Spa further cemented its status as a premier wedding destination with the opening of its exquisite historic chapel for civil wedding ceremonies. Dating back to 1656, the chapel features stunning Jacobean architecture, twelve ornate stained-glass windows, and intricate alabaster and marble carvings.

Originally built as a private place of worship for the influential Crewe family, it now offers a truly unique setting for wedding ceremonies.

David Rowley, general manager of Crewe Hall Hotel & Spa, said: “We are thrilled to be recognised as Wedding Venue of the Year. Following significant investment and extensive efforts to establish Crewe Hall as a premier wedding destination, this means so much to us. Service is at the heart of what we do, and we are incredibly proud of our dedicated team, who consistently deliver exceptional experiences for wedding couples and their guests.”

The Marketing Cheshire Tourism Awards ceremony took place this month at the iconic Chester Cathedral earlier this month, hosted by Hollyoaks star, Ashley Taylor Dawson, with winners announced across 16 categories.
