Chester-Based Manleys Solicitors Promotes Jessica Turner to Associate Solicitor

Manleys Solicitors, a boutique commercial litigation and reputation management firm located in Chester, has recently announced the promotion of Jessica Turner to the position of Associate Solicitor.

Jessica joined Manleys over seven years ago, bringing with her experience from a well-known full-service firm based in the North-West. Her aspiration to become a successful reputation management and commercial litigation lawyer led her to join Manleys in 2016. Initially, she worked as a Paralegal and PA to Mr. Manley, where she played a vital role in the firm’s day-to-day operations, financial matters, and assisted solicitors with their cases. Despite her demanding schedule, Jessica pursued her legal education on a full-time basis and successfully completed a Graduate Diploma in Law and LPC with a Masters in Law and Business Management at the University of Law. In recognition of her hard work, Jessica was awarded a training contract in 2017 and qualified as a Solicitor in September 2019. With three and a half years of experience under her belt, Jessica continues to excel in her work.

Since qualifying, Jessica has been instrumental in protecting her clients’ reputations, commercial interests, intellectual property, and private and confidential information. Her expertise spans various legal areas, including Reputation Management, Commercial Litigation, Intellectual Property, Defamation, Privacy, Breach of Confidence, Harassment, Data Protection, Advertising Law, and Shareholder Disputes.

Throughout her practice, Jessica has represented high-profile clients and been involved in notable cases. One significant achievement includes securing a groundbreaking win for her client in a privacy case (Pryor v Liverpool Women’s NHS Foundation Trust & Lumsden ([2021] EWHC 2911 (QB)). This success garnered media attention and was reported on by Media Blog, Inforrm. Jessica also achieved a major settlement against a prominent social media platform, resolving allegations of defamation and data protection breaches. These accomplishments, along with the testimonials attributed to Jessica on the firm’s website www.manleys.law, highlight her dedication to providing excellent service to her clients.

Mark Manley, Managing Director of the Legal 500 firm, expressed his pride in Jessica’s journey within the firm, stating, “Watching Jess progress from an administrative position/paralegal/trainee to become one of our most accomplished solicitors has been incredibly rewarding. She is a dedicated and hard-working solicitor who has honed her legal knowledge, consistently surpasses all set targets, and undoubtedly has a promising future ahead. I had no hesitation in promoting her and have full confidence that she will continue to excel while helping our clients achieve their goals. She is a true asset to the firm.”

Commenting on her recent promotion, Jessica expressed her satisfaction with her years at Manleys and her passion for the work she does. She affirmed her commitment to delivering positive outcomes for her clients and looks forward to carrying that forward in her new role with the firm.
