Aaron & Partners appoints experienced new Chief Operating Officer

Chester-based law firm Aaron & Partners has announced the appointment of Mark Bergin in the newly created role of Chief Operating Officer.

Mark, who throughout his career has specialised in the mortgage and lending industries, brings to the firm a wealth of experience in growing businesses.

In a career stemming back to 1984, he has worked in various high-profile roles at leading firms, including HBOS, Investec, Deutsche Bank and Irwin Mitchell.

Mark’s role at Aaron & Partners will include overseeing the continued growth of the firm, which currently employs more than 150 people and has offices in Chester, Shrewsbury, Altrincham and Wirral.

Mark said: “I am delighted to have joined Aaron & Partners and am looking forward to helping the company continue on its strong growth trajectory.

“Having worked for a number of different businesses – mainly in financial services – it’s a great challenge for me in a fascinating role.

“Simply put, joining a fast-growing firm with a vast array of expertise in the legal sector was an irresistible opportunity.”

A father of three, Mark is passionate about music and has played in various bands around the city, the Wirral and Liverpool. He also enjoys running having tackled the Chester Marathon and Half Marathon a number of times.

Mark added: “My career started at the old North West Securities, 300 yards up the road from the Aaron & Partners offices. Since then, I’ve also worked in London, Reading and Manchester so it’s great to be back in Chester – a place I’m proud to call home.”

“The team throughout the firm have been incredibly friendly and welcoming, and I am excited to be part of such a talented group. I can’t wait to see what we can achieve together over the coming months and years.”
