Charge-M8 Earns Trading Standards Buy With Confidence Approval

Charge-M8, the specialists in electric car charging, has achieved the prestigious “Buy with Confidence” Approval from Trading Standards, as part of the national accreditation scheme.

This accomplishment is a source of great pride for Charge-M8, as it provides their customers with the assurance that they are collaborating with a business approved by Trading Standards. With the support of over 60 local authorities across the UK, the Buy With Confidence scheme is unique in being entirely owned, controlled, and independently managed by local authority Trading Standards departments.

In the process of obtaining this accreditation, Charge-M8 underwent thorough scrutiny by real-life Trading Standards Officers. This included a comprehensive audit of their systems and policies to ensure compliance with consumer law. Furthermore, all employees, including installation engineers who visit customers’ homes, underwent CRB checks, with installation engineers subjected to advanced CRB checks. The assessment also involved telephone interviews with randomly selected Charge-M8 customers, conducted by the Trading Standards assessment team.

Julian Smith, Founder and CEO of Charge-M8, expressed his pride in receiving this recognition from Trading Standards. He highlighted the company’s commitment to upholding the highest standards in terms of service and customer care. Smith emphasised the significance of this accreditation, given that Trading Standards is the definitive authority on consumer law in the United Kingdom. He further noted that this accreditation is not a one-time inspection but entails ongoing monitoring through continuous customer feedback and other checks, making it an excellent choice for consumers.

Charge-M8 is rapidly establishing itself as a leading company for both domestic and commercial EV charging installations. With approvals from the Office For Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV) and major EV charging brands, Charge-M8’s technical experts can help identify your requirements and install the ideal EV charging solution.
