Appeal launched to find teenage boy missing from Widnes

Police are appealing to the public for help in finding a missing teenage boy from Widnes.

Ben Withington (16) left his home in the Lunt’s Heath area in the early hours of this morning, and officers are becoming increasingly concerned for his welfare.

He is described as white, 5’7” tall, of slim build, with dark hair and blue eyes.

Ben (pictured) has autism and walks on his tip toes.

Inspector Nick Bamber said: “Ben is a vulnerable teenager, and we are extremely concerned for his welfare.

“Due to his autism, Ben has a unique walk and I’d urge anyone who thinks that they may have seen him since he went missing, or knows where he is, to get in touch.

“The same goes for anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage of him since he disappeared.

“I would also like to appeal directly to Ben, to ask him to get in touch, you are not in any trouble, your family just want you home safe and well.”
