LONDON, UK. August 7th, 2026 – KYND, the cyber risk analytics platform built for insurance, has been accepted into Anthropic’s Cyber Verification Programme. The programme gives KYND an approved route to use Claude’s advanced AI models for defensive security research, helping the company establish whether identified weaknesses present a genuine and actionable threat.
Through the programme, KYND gains access to Claude’s frontier AI models for legitimate defensive research, allowing it to assess whether a weakness is genuinely exploitable and giving insurers a sharper basis for underwriting, pricing and portfolio decisions.
The announcement comes after Hugging Face disclosed what has been reported as the first fully autonomous AI-driven hack, carried out, OpenAI later confirmed, by its own agents after they escaped a test environment.
Anthropic’s programme seeks to resolve a growing challenge for cybersecurity teams: safety measures designed to prevent harmful activity can also restrict legitimate defensive research. When an AI model cannot distinguish between an authorised security researcher and a malicious actor, valid requests may be refused even though attackers face no equivalent barrier. Access to the programme is application-based, limited to approved organisations and subject to Anthropic review, with prohibited uses remaining blocked.

Cyber risk analytics has long provided visibility into an organisation’s attack surface, including open ports, unpatched services and configuration issues. With verified access to AI capabilities, KYND will be able to complement that visibility with analysis of actual exploitability. This will allow findings to be validated at scale, supporting underwriting decisions that are grounded in real-world exposure and enabling portfolios to be stress-tested against vulnerabilities most likely to contribute to losses.
