Children’s charity The Joshua Tree to host The Joshua Tree Tea Party Trafford Palazzo

Cheshire based children’s cancer charity The Joshua Tree will be hosting a ‘Joshua Tree Tea Party’ at Trafford Palazzo on 24th September as part of Childhood Awareness month.

The event will be tea party themed with music playing and a special visit from Josh the Giraffe mascot. A selection of delightful cakes and biscuits will also be served alongside hot and cold drinks.

The event is set to kick start The Joshua Tree’s tea party event schedule which will take place annually every September involving workplaces, schools, and businesses.

Kate Holland, Senior Marketing Business Partner at Peel L&P said: “We are really pleased to be working with The Joshua Tree which is such an important charity operating across the North West. We want to utilise our space and work with as many charities as possible and we are delighted to host the first ‘Joshua Tree Tea Party’ and support their fundraising efforts at Trafford Palazzo.”

The charity operates across the North West and North Wales and is dedicated to working closely with families affected by childhood cancers. The charity was founded in 2006 by Lynda and David Hill following their son’s diagnosis with leukaemia. They discovered a distinct lack of support services for all family members during the traumatic experience of childhood cancer.

They provide support to the child and the whole family from referral to the age of 25 with referrals currently up by 70%. The charity has no statutory funding and relies solely on fundraising and grants.
