New L&D training programmes launched to support NW businesses with employee retention and engagement

Outsourced HR business, P3 People Management, has launched a brand-new Learning and Development Framework to help small businesses across the North West to retain and engage their workforce.

With rising inflation and an unstable economy, coupled with employees seeking more from their lives and their work post-Covid, it is proving a popular time to jump ship.

According to the British Chamber of Commerce, recruitment problems are still at record high levels with 76% of companies saying they are struggling to find and retain employees meaning that those in employment are experiencing more freedom than ever to look elsewhere.

Cheshire-based P3 People Management, which helps SMEs to increase their profits by investing in the performance of their people, has developed seven distinct Learning and Development (L&D) Training Programmes designed for employees at all levels of an organisation with the ultimate aim of raising morale, engaging and developing people and creating a workforce that feels trusted and valued.

The launch comes at a significant time in P3’s own business growth as it celebrates its 18th birthday. In 2020, P3 refocused its products and services to better support its clients who were facing huge challenges brought by the pandemic, and then, in 2021, P3 doubled the size of its team of HR experts.

To mark its birthday and the L&D launch, P3 will host a special in-person topical panel discussion “How to retain and engage your team in challenging times” on Wednesday 16th November at 3pm, followed by celebratory drinks.

P3 founder and managing director, Charlotte Dean, said: “The workplace is changing and business leaders need to understand that in order to achieve growth and success, they need to have employees who are fully engaged and motivated, and compassionate managers who are great communicators and stand out role models and who can influence positive change in others.”

Chloë Bisson, P3’s Learning and Development Consultant, has created the new training programmes and is leading the roll out. She said: “Psychology and behavioural training play a fundamental part in all our new L&D training programmes in order to embed the most motivational attitudes and approaches when it comes to providing employees with the ultimate support.

“We have created these programmes with every member of an organisation in mind, and they are full of inspiring content to equip employees at every level of the business with the optimum mindset and behaviours. It will be a unique journey of self-discovery and when employees put their new skills into practice, businesses will experience greater productivity, higher levels of morale, engagement, and retention, and have a workforce that feels valued and trusted.”

Charlotte added: “We are huge advocates of L&D at P3 and we hope that many local businesses from across Altrincham, Cheshire, and Greater Manchester will join us on 16th November for what promises to be a really insightful panel discussion about today’s workplace challenges and how we can all continue to grow and prosper by making a commitment to putting our people first.”

P3’s Learning and Development training programmes include: – Personal Effectiveness, Communication and Handling Conflict, Performance Management and Progression, Leadership and Management, People Management and HR, Change Management, and Culture and Vision. The programmes can be accessed together, individually or as part of a bespoke package. They include structured training through workshops and remote learning, alongside 1-2-1 mentoring and coaching.
