Escape to Manor House Alsager for the Ultimate Thermal Journey in the Cold Winter Months

Complete with recent instalment of new firepits

Manor House Hotel, an independent family-owned hotel in Alsager, nestled in the heart of Cheshire, is inviting guests to embrace the cold this winter. With around two million Brits being effected by SAD (seasonal affective disorder),being able to relax and bask in the natural winter sunlight outdoors is essential to improved wellbeing.  With the instalment of brand new firepits in the spa garden, it welcomes guests to enjoy its new outdoor spa facilities that are heated and cosy all year round come rain or shine.

Opened at the end of 2022, The Spa at the Manor House is a Luxury English Country themed spa designed to be enjoyed all year round. Features include the outdoor hanging day beds which have individual heaters for guests to cosy up on, as well as underfloor heating around the outdoor spa facilities, meaning even on the iciest days the garden can be enjoyed. With the instalment of cosy fire pits in January, these are the perfect place to huddle round and with a warm drink and a catch up around the garden.

Bridging the gap between indoors and outdoors, the new Pool House also has underfloor heating, as well as a log burning stove, extending the cosy warmth, of the new outdoor fire pits. Housing the UK’s first Swim up bar, The Pool House is equipped to enjoy all year round and is an idyllic location to indulge in during the colder months. Guests can enjoy a scrumptious hot chocolate, or warming cocktail at either the comfy indoor stools or outside whilst floating in the heated vitality pool.

The contemporary Pool House looks over the spectacular 2,000 sqm English Countryside Spa Garden, which includes a variety of facilities including the Potting Shed Herbal Sauna, Panoramic Laconicum with swing seats, Salt Steam Inhalation Chamber and icy Plunge Pool, for those who really want to embrace the cold and try the Wim Hof method.

If guests do crave some relief from the cold outdoors, spa-goers can also escape to the refurbished indoor spa, which houses an array of spa experiences to relish including a large serenity pool, surrounded by loungers and an Instagram-able hanging day bed, as well as the indoor Finnish sauna and aromatherapy steam room.

For a truly warming experience, guests can also enjoy the Salt Shed Experience, a private guided meditation in a Himalayan salt sauna. There is also a comforting relaxation lounge where guests can reflect before and after treatments. To reinvigorate the body and warm from the outside in, guests can choose from a menu of treatments from British Spa brands Tribe517 and Temple Spa.

Jess Mellors the General Manager at Manor House Alsager says “The instalment of the firepits complements the recently completed outdoor spa garden perfectly, bringing that extra warmth and cosiness to our spa, which is essential for our guests who want to enjoy the spa all year round”

The Manor House Hotel is located in the tranquil village of Alsager in East Cheshire, close to the M6 and within driving distance of Stoke-on-Trent. Guests can also enjoy warming, hearty, locally sourced food and wine at The Stables Bar and Grill, an award-winning restaurant, located within the hotel.

Spa day prices start from £95.
