Timberwise Earns Prestigious Training Honour at Property Care Awards

Timberwise is celebrating a notable achievement after being recognised with one of the leading accolades at this year’s Property Care Awards.

The Cheshire-founded company, which now operates from a wide network of offices across the UK, secured the Training and Development award during the annual ceremony.

Marking its fifteenth anniversary, the event organised by the Property Care Association (PCA) took place at Old Trafford, where nine awards across three distinct categories honoured outstanding member contributions throughout the year.

A proud and long-standing PCA member, Timberwise received the Training and Development accolade in appreciation of its comprehensive commitment to developing the skills of its surveyors, technicians and administrative teams, as well as its continuous investment in training services for external partners.

The company had also been shortlisted in the Project Awards category for Health and Safety and, while it did not win, the judges presented Timberwise with a Highly Commended recognition.

Commenting on the Training and Development award, George Edwards, CEO of Timberwise, said: “Our win for the Training and Development award has once again proven that the PCA recognises our steadfast commitment to developing our team, equipping them with the skills to work to the highest standards on site, in the office, or wherever they might be. But it is not just technical training we want to encourage at Timberwise. Professional development and making sure our team feels encouraged to progress in their own career is just as important.”

Reflecting on the Health and Safety recognition, George Edwards added: “Our nomination for the Property Care Association Health & Safety award is something I am immensely proud of. It is a sure sign that the measures we have in place as a business are working, and that is not something we want to keep to ourselves. This acknowledgement by the PCA affirms that all the work we have done in recent years to make sure Timberwise is not only a leading force when it comes to the quality of our work, but also an industry leader when it comes to health and safety throughout the workplace, is paying off.”

Timberwise’s success reinforces its long-term ambition to expand and enhance its CPD framework, ensuring that every member of staff is equipped to progress. Mr Edwards also acknowledged the efforts of the Training and Development team, Health and Safety representatives and the PCA for their support and recognition.

Established in 1968, Timberwise holds the distinction of being the UK’s largest family-owned specialist in property care and has built a strong reputation for quality restoration and remediation work. While rooted in the North West, the company has extended its services across Great Britain, including Scotland since 2022.

Its dedication to CPD and rigorous health and safety standards ensures Timberwise employees are consistently trained to deliver safe, reliable and high-quality outcomes. Its CPD seminars are formally accredited by the PCA and the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA).
