Maher Ali Rusho appointed International Delegate to Nobel Prize Teacher Summit 2026

Maher Ali Rusho, a Bangladeshi scientist with international standing and a recognised voice in education policy, has been appointed as an International Delegate to the Nobel Prize Teacher Summit 2026. The summit is a global forum bringing together leading educators, researchers, and policymakers focused on advancing education, innovation, and social responsibility.

The appointment highlights Mr Rusho’s growing global impact across science and education. He is ranked 73rd worldwide among Top-100 FDM–AM Scientists, based on Elsevier Scopus citation metrics. His interdisciplinary research spans artificial intelligence and computational materials science, with core interests in AI-driven materials informatics, hydrogen energy technologies, additive manufacturing optimisation, and multiphysics simulation, all areas closely linked to sustainable industrial progress.

Mr Rusho’s work involves extensive international collaboration, with academic and professional engagements across the United States, Europe, China, Saudi Arabia, and Canada. His global research profile is complemented by membership in prominent scientific organisations, including Sigma Xi, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, and the Association for Computing Machinery.

Alongside his research career, Mr Rusho has contributed to international debates on education reform. His 2025 publication, The Age of Merit, presents a policy-oriented vision for merit-based education systems designed to align learning with future technological and workforce demands. His work advocates for equity, accountability, and innovation within education systems.

The Nobel Prize Teacher Summit recognises individuals whose contributions strengthen the relationship between education, research excellence, and societal advancement. Mr Rusho’s selection reflects his belief in education as a strategic tool for national development and international collaboration.

He began his professional career in Bangladesh, where he contributed to the country’s technology and research ecosystem through organisations such as Brain Station 23 and Intelligent Machines. His early work focused on applied technological development and supporting research capacity within the region.

Mr Rusho’s career has since expanded internationally, with roles and collaborations across Europe, North America, and Asia. He is currently a co-founder of UntieAI in Canada, leading advanced research initiatives in artificial intelligence. His work has received international recognition, including being named among Forbes India’s Trendsetters & Trailblazers 2024.

In addition, he supports the global scientific community through editorial and peer-review responsibilities with major publishers such as Nature, Elsevier, and MDPI.

His appointment to the Nobel Prize Teacher Summit 2026 underscores his commitment to education, innovation, and global cooperation, reflecting the increasing influence of Bangladeshi researchers on the world stage.
