ONEEV Builds Momentum as the UK’s Leading Free EV App Ahead of International Expansion

LONDON, UK. October 8th, 2026: In under a year since its full public launch, ONEEV has reached a significant milestone by becoming the UK’s leading free electric vehicle app. With thousands of drivers using the platform across the UK and Ireland, the company is building on its early growth as it develops a more connected approach to EV charging and ownership.

Founded by Tim Moore and Lyndon Gough, ONEEV was established to tackle the everyday frustrations they experienced as EV drivers. These included inconsistent charge point information, the need to juggle different charging applications and the difficulty of finding trusted services to support vehicle ownership.

The platform now offers access to more than 70,000 charge points, bringing charging, payments, journey planning and related EV services together in a single application.

ONEEV’s journey started with an idea in early 2024, progressed to a beta platform in 2025 and culminated in a full public launch in December 2025.

The app allows drivers to locate charging points, view live availability, compare real-time pricing, make secure payments and access instant receipts. Journey planning features also help users incorporate charging stops into their routes, supporting more convenient long-distance travel. The platform is free to use after registration.

Rather than focusing on one charging operator, ONEEV works independently across multiple providers, enabling drivers to access a broader charging network through a single app.

“We don’t need to tie ourselves to any one provider because we work with them all,” said co-founder Tim Moore.

Technology and data reliability have helped shape the platform’s development. The company reports that its ONEEV technology platform achieves 99.8 per cent data accuracy, helping users assess their charging options with greater confidence.

The app also offers connections to a broader range of EV ownership products and services, including home charger installation, insurance, tyres, breakdown cover and accessories.

A loyalty scheme gives drivers another reason to use the platform, with rewards linked to charging activity and incentives that include gift cards.

Moore said: “The original idea came from our own experiences as EV drivers. We felt there was an opportunity to simplify a process that had become fragmented and frustrating for many people. We’re creating value for both drivers and charging providers by bringing everything together in one place.”

Co-founder Lyndon Gough added: “Reliable information remains one of the most important factors in creating a better charging experience. Our focus has been on giving drivers confidence that the information they see is accurate and up to date.”

The business was founded on the recognition that EV ownership involves more than simply locating a charging point. Drivers can face a complicated mix of services for navigation, charging, insurance, maintenance, tyres and roadside assistance, often requiring multiple accounts and applications to manage them.

With its presence in the UK and Ireland continuing to develop, ONEEV is now looking towards the next stage of its growth strategy. The company intends to explore launches in Europe, Australia and the United States after completing development of its UK offering.

The founders believe that continued growth in electric vehicle adoption will create greater demand for integrated platforms that make charging and vehicle ownership simpler, more accessible and more convenient for drivers.
