New integration embeds Sentry’s readerless mobile access technology into Azure Access CP Series controllers, offering simpler installations, greater flexibility and protection against future cybersecurity risks.
Sentry Interactive and Azure Access have announced a new technology partnership designed to transform mobile access control by integrating Sentry’s readerless access technology into Azure Access’ latest CP Series network controllers. The collaboration will give customers more flexible installation options, reduce the costs associated with deployment and introduce security capabilities designed to address the emerging risks posed by quantum computing.
Embedding Sentry’s software development kit (SDK) within the CP Series controllers enables organisations to introduce mobile credentials without having to replace their existing reader infrastructure. The approach is intended to make implementation more straightforward, minimise hardware requirements and provide greater flexibility when upgrading both new and established access control installations.
A key focus of the collaboration is the growing cybersecurity challenge presented by quantum computing. As this technology develops, traditional encryption techniques could become increasingly susceptible to attack, creating new demands for security systems capable of protecting access credentials against future threats.
Denis Hébert, Chairman and CEO of Sentry Interactive, said: “The future of access control is embedded mobile access in a post-quantum world. Quantum computing will fundamentally change the security landscape, and much of our industry isn’t prepared. Rather than waiting for that disruption, Sentry and Azure Access are getting ahead of it. This is about leading the transition, not reacting to it.”
Sentry Interactive’s technology combines advanced post-quantum cryptography with a readerless system architecture that separates and protects the mobile credential security layer. This approach is designed to provide additional resilience against changing cybersecurity threats.
For Azure Access, the agreement extends the functionality of its latest CP Series network controllers, giving customers and installation partners more options for introducing mobile access technology without relying on traditional hardware configurations.
Evan Zinger, General Manager of Azure Access, said: “Our partnership with Sentry Interactive gives Azure Access customers and installation partners more ways to deploy mobile access without the traditional cost and complexity of replacing reader infrastructure. By incorporating Sentry’s technology into our controllers, we’re expanding installation flexibility while offering advanced credential security designed for the future.”
