Housing association offers customers work and training support

Plus Dane partnership with Springboard sees results

Plus Dane Housing is able to offer help to customers in Cheshire looking for training and employment opportunities, through its ongoing partnership with a specialist organisation.

Its contract with Springboard (Cheshire Learning Partnership) means the housing association can assist customers with job searches, interview practice, careers advice, access to employers, nationally recognised training and more.

Springboard has work clubs located across Cheshire East for customers to access and receive one-to-one support. These are in Congleton, Sandbach, Crewe, Macclesfield and Alsager. The organisation can provide access to qualifications in subjects including maths, English, digital skills, construction, first aid and a range of online courses.

Usman Ashiq, Plus Dane’s strategic partnerships manager, said: “Our relationship with Springboard has had great benefits for us, and allowed us to help Plus Dane customers to gain qualifications and find new employment opportunities. We’re really pleased with the outcomes so far, and want to be able to extend this help as many customers in the Cheshire area as we can.”

Adele Cook, managing director of Springboard, said: “We have been working in partnership with Plus Dane for a number of years now supporting tenants to achieve qualifications and gain sustainable employment. We have qualified careers advisors available to support and mentor tenants and help them find the right path to enable them to achieve their goals.  Our services are free to all adults and we can provide impartial advice in a relaxed and welcoming environment.”

Plus Dane customers who are interested in employment or training support can contact the engagement team via email at [email protected]
