Two units at Alchemy Business Park get green light

Planning permission for two units within phase two of the Element development at Alchemy Business Park in Knowsley, Liverpool, have been given the go ahead.

The two units, secured by Network Space Developments (NSD), are off Alchemy Way, spanning 105,000 and 42,000 sq. ft. respectively.

The larger unit includes 15m eaves, has two level access loading doors, a further eight bays with dock levellers, provision for 184 parking spaces and an additional 21 trailer spaces.

It also features a two-storey external office building with views across the service yard. The second unit, with 10m eaves, has two level access loading doors, two bays with dock levellers and 50 parking spaces.

The two sizeable units mark the last development plot on the commercial hub, with NSD previously delivering over 200,000 sq. ft across multiple phases at Platinum Court and Element Phase 1.

The first phase of Element is also now the flagship headquarters and dealership for eStar Truck and Van, the Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicle franchise for the North West and North Wales who occupy alongside Amazon who occupy a third building.

NSD senior development manager Simon Eaton, said: “We are delighted to have secured planning permission for this final phase, Element Phase 2 @ Alchemy which has been a real success story for the North West, attracting global businesses to the region, alongside long-term investment that has created hundreds of jobs and supply chain opportunities.

“We are confident there will be significant interest in the last two units which are available immediately for pre-let and design and build opportunities, with both units being deliverable within 12 months of agreements being in place.”
