RVA Surveyors wins big at GMCC Excellence Awards

On the 29th of September, the Greater Manchester Chambers of Commerce (GMCC) hosted their Excellence Awards evening. Businesses from across the North West attended and took the opportunity to share the odd drink or two at the glamorous Victoria Warehouse in Trafford Park. The awards evening quickly turned into a night of celebration for various businesses, including RVA Surveyors.

To add to the excitement of the evening, the finalists for each category were not announced until the night itself, and the winners shortly after. RVA Surveyors found themselves the finalists, and winners, of the Learning and Development Excellence Award. The award was sponsored by Avoira, who presented the award to RVA’s Managing Director, Anthony Hughes, on the night.

“We are so pleased to have won the award for Learning and Development,” Anthony Hughes said. “To have the hard work our team have undertaken in recent years be recognised, is a fantastic achievement. Our teams have built, developed, and continued to evolve the business over the last two years. We are incredibly proud of the dedication they have put in to get us this far, and we can’t wait to roll out further development courses.”

This win, Hughes elaborated, was due to several programmes that RVA Surveyors run throughout the year. From junior management training to extensions of their Graduate Scheme, these programmes allow RVA to stay committed to their values of promoting from within. Including their Surveyor Training Programme which began in March 2022 and saw six trainees’ pass.

Since covid, RVA Surveyors have expanded their business from just fifty employees to over one-hundred-and-thirty. This push forward has been due to an increased client demand, one which RVA seem determined to meet.
