Lindi Reynolds, who founded the award-winning luxury interior design studio Lindi Reynolds & Co, has been selected to join the judging panel for the British Institute of Interior Design Student Drawing Competition 2026, an annual competition that has established itself as one of the most valued occasions in the interior design calendar for recognising and celebrating talent at the student level.
The competition serves as an important annual showcase for the drawing abilities of interior design students across the UK, offering those at the earlier stages of their careers the chance to have their work seen and assessed by experienced figures from within the industry, and to benefit from the professional feedback that such scrutiny makes possible.
Lindi Reynolds will take on the responsibility of assessing the entries submitted to the competition, judging each piece on its creative ambition, originality, technical quality and the degree to which the entrant has succeeded in conveying their design concept through their drawing. The judging session will take place in London on 10th June 2026, and the competition winner will be announced on 25th June.
Reynolds steps into the judging role with over 20 years of professional experience at her back, drawing on a rich background that encompasses fine art, architecture and brand design to bring a genuinely multidisciplinary viewpoint to her assessment of the entries. Earlier in her career, she worked at a senior level within the WPP Fitch Communications Network, where she accumulated extensive experience of global brand projects and developed a deep understanding of visual identity and the effective communication of design ideas. Beyond her studio, she is the founder of The Artists Appreciation Initiative, a platform she established to support British artists who are working to build their careers.
Her presence on the judging panel is a reflection both of her standing within the interior design profession and of her longstanding personal investment in the growth and development of those who are still establishing themselves within the field.
Commenting on her role in the panel, Reynolds said: “I am truly honoured to be invited to judge the BIID Young Artists Drawing Competition later this year. Drawing is where everything begins — it is the most honest and immediate expression of creative thinking, and there is something deeply exciting about witnessing fresh talent in its early stages. As someone who has spent a career championing the role of art and creativity within design, this feels like a privilege and a responsibility I will relish in equal measure. I cannot wait to see what the next generation has to offer.”
Reynolds extends her commitment to the design world beyond her studio practice through a range of community-focused activities, amongst them forthcoming charitable work with the Royal Brompton and Harefield hospitals, which will complement her other ongoing professional and creative endeavours.
The BIID Student Drawing Competition 2026 opened its entry process on 12th March and will accept submissions until 14th May 2026. The entries that make it through to the shortlist will be presented to the judging panel for their deliberations in June.
